He walked up to her and wiped the tears from her eyes. She looked up at him and opened her mouth to speak, but she could only choke down sobs. He shoved a bouquet of roses into her hands and whispered into her ear “I’ll love you until the last one dies”. Which, at the moment, only caused her more grief at the thought of losing him one more time. The, he placed his arm around her and they stared out over the water in silence. It wasn’t until the sun was almost drowned by the sea that she examined the roses and saw that one was fake.
